White sauce pasta
It's not the usual white sauce which is prepared with maida, a little healthier version of it
Ingredients(serves 2)
- 1 cup Penne pasta
- 100 gms Paneer
- 10 pieces Cashew
- 1 cup Milk
- 1 piece Onion
- 1 piece Capsicum
- 1 piece Corn
- 2 tablespoon Butter
- 2 tablespoon Freshcream
- 1 tablespoon Oregano
- 1 tablespoon Chilli flakes
- 3 teaspoon Salt
- 4 cups Water
- 1 teaspoon Oil
Instructions
Boil 1 cup of pasta (soft but firm) by adding a pinch of salt and 1 teaspoon oil to 4 cups of water
Soak 10-15 cashews in hot water for 10 minutes. Take a blender add 100 gms of paneer, soaked cashews, 1/2 cup of boiled milk and salt. Blend it to make a smooth white sauce
Cut the onion and capsicum as cubes. Take a pan, put 2 tablespoons of butter. Add onions, capsicum and corn (you can add vegetables of your choice). Saute the vegetables not more than 2 minutes
Add the white sauce and boiled pasta to the pan and mix it. Add 2 tablespoons of fresh cream for extra creaminess. Now add 1/2 cup of milk to get the consistency. Add salt as per taste
Add chilli flakes and oregano and mix it well.
Serve it hot and creamy with extra chilli flakes and oregano as a garnish
